Dr Marie Quigney
GP
Dr Marie Quigney has been working in general practice since 2009 gaining membership of the Irish College of General Practitioners the same year. After Graduating from NUI Galway in 2003 Dr Quigney travelled to New Zealand to gain experience in Medicine and life for 12 months. She returned to commence her GP training in 2005 in the MidWestern Scheme. She also obtained further diplomas in Child Health and Dermatology along with a certificate in Palliative Care. She is also trained in anti wrinkle injections. She has a passion for General practice and the safe up to date delivery of health care in community. She has a keen interest in chronic disease management, care for the elderly and women’s health. She is a now an experienced trainer for doctors in training in GP with an avid interest in education having also been a clinical skills tutor in the University of Limerick for a number of years prior.
She has been working in Saffron and Blue Medical Clinic since 2010 and encorporates meeting patients, senior management and education in her day to day.
Outside of Practice she has a love for her family, Irish traditional music and Hurling.
