Dr. Colm Hackett

Dr. Hackett graduated from UCD in 1972 and was appointed to the Dispensary area of Newmarket-on-Fergus in July 1977.  He served for many years as Medical Director of Carrigoran House, and was involved in establishing Dementia Care Services while there.  He has also served on several HSE committees involved in Elderly Care.  Dr. Hackett’s undergraduate teaching commitments were with students from UCG. He retired from full-time practice in 2019, and later joined the Saffron & Blue Medical Clinic Team, where he continues to work on a part-time basis.
